Rushing Rivers Inc. is a consulting firm focusing on for river restoration planning and management. Their services are designed to provide technical assistance, education and software for simulation of stream habitats for fish and invertebrates. Through combination of environmental engineering, biology, geoscience and environmental computing Rushing Rivers provides innovative planning tools directly from the university environment to the management practice. Our vision is to become internationally recognized company offering high quality, environmentally sound products and promoting innovation in river management.

The Rushing Rivers is a spin-off of Northeast Instream Habitat Program (NEIHP), located at the Mt Holyoke College, which is developing science and methods for river management. Rushing Rivers Inc. is in a partnership with the Rushing Rivers Institute, a non-profit program of The Third Sector New England. The companies have the complementary mission and complement each other in performing tasks of commercial and non-commercial nature.

The RRInc. stands out by high quality, innovative products, science based expertise and high level of environmental ethics. Piotr Parasiewicz is one of few river scientists in the world with unique cross disciplinary expertise in modern river management. The technology offered by our company is based on the habitat simulation approach MesoHABSIM developed recently at Cornell University and University of Massachusetts.
